Some Direction

So I have never be a big fan of theme verses. People want a verse to go with everything, their wedding, their mission trips, their ride to work. Do not get me wrong there, I respect that people like to do things based on scripture and follow through with it but sometimes it seems that they find a random verse to legitimatize what they are doing. Well anyway I never even thought about having a theme verse for the trip, but then all the sudden in my quiet time God showed me Micah 3:8. I won't call it my theme verse, but it definitely will give me some direction and some confidence that I am going to these cities to do His will and to bring truth to the cities.

But as for me, I am filled with power, with the Spirit of the Lord, and with justice and might, to declare to Jacob his transgression, to Israel his sin. Micah 3:8

So this next school year I'm planning on going on my bike to different cities around the U.S., taking no money or phone, and completely relying on God for his provision. I will be doing ministry in the cities, I'm not exact on what it will be yet but that might be a city to city thing. I'm hoping to get a partner for the trip since Paul always went out with a partner and Jesus sent the disciples out in pairs. I have a friend praying about it right now and seeking God to see if he is supposed to do this also. Some things to be praying for:

• Direction for my friend. For God to show him what he needs to be doing.
• Clarification of what to take with me. And who I will be ministering to (college, homeless, gangs)
• Preparation mentally, physically, and mostly spiritually.
  
• That God gives my family peace about it.
