Life

Yesterday on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, I went with some people here to go march for pro-life against the new abortion clinic. It was amazing, they said they were expecting about 800 people but more like 8000 people showed up. The march is not really a protest but more of a prayer march. Everyone put red tape with "LIFE" written across it on their mouths so the march is silent and everybody prays. They stationed 600 people at the building to pray for 5 hours they called this the "Silent Siege" and then the rest of the people marched throughout the main neighborhoods that Planned Parenthood is targeting. I marched with my friends and everyone just prayed against abortion, against sexual immorality, that people would feel the love of Christ, that God would send messengers to these people, and just for the neighborhoods in general that God would be glorified in them. I feel like God wants abortion to not even be a factor.

There was a lot of talk about how abortion is wrong and it kills innocent lives. That is very true. But it doesn't stop there. If we were to stop abortion many kids would just go and be a part of the system were there is a lot of success but there is a lot of mistreated, forgotten kids that don't get a proper family to grow in. And the women that want to get an abortion can't afford to have a kid with all the expenses prior to giving birth which I don't know much about but I'm sure you mothers know what I am talking about. So what God was showing me was that many times as Christians we want sin to stop. That's all good and stuff but that is all we are willing to say or do. If we really want sin to stop we as Christians have to go further than just wanting sin to stop or going to a rally to protest against sin. We as Christians have to go much farther than stopping the sin but fight against what causes the sin. Like in abortion Christians have to be there for mothers that want to abort and be there to adopt the children that they cannot afford to take care of. Which one is more likely to be a testimony in a teenager's life. People telling her abortion is wrong and she better not do it and then leave? Or people coming alongside her and helping her get through this and providing for her so her baby can make it? Of course the second option takes more time and money, but God never said it would be easy to fight against sin and the Devil. But we have to press in if we are to see change. Christianity is easy, but we don't understand that. Ask God to show you what it means to be a Christian. A true follower of Christ.

Bro, its great to see God doing such great work in your life. I got a Life band, and every time I see it, I am reminded to pray for the stop of abortion. Did you hear Lou Engle speak? He is amazing. He got me fired up for it. I do not know how much you know about his organization, but you should check out The Call. You are a walking example of Jesus Christ. There is no need to humble yourself to me, because I know there is probably a lot of things you could still change, but so is there in all of us. You are not just talking the talk, but you are actually walking it out. Amazing, it just fascinates me. Don't give up man, I know you won't. Love you bro

My fiancee and her church were there too!!! God is beginning to raise up the church here in the US to be a servant to the poor in spirit...it is really cool to see what He is doing so close to home.
